Who We Are
Lean Dynamics LLC was established in 2007 by Peter L. King. King has over 30 years experience in a Fortune 100 Chemical company with assignments in R & D, manufacturing automation, system analysis, work process improvement and lean manufacturing and supply chain improvement.
His experience includes
- 7 years as Project Engineer, responsible for control systems, product identification (bar-coding) and overall flow design for major material handling and manufacturing automation projects.
- 8 years managing manufacturing automation group (40+ engineers)
- 6 years in a corporate consulting group developing and implementing World Class Manufacturing (Continuous Flow Mfg, Short Cycle Time Mfg, Lean Mfg, etc.) technologies
- 10 years as an internal corporate consultant making improvements in material flow and synchronization, and application of diverse engineering technologies to resolve bottlenecks. Application of Lean principles to manufacturing operations and to supply chains.
- 10 years in private practice consulting with companies in the food & beverage, sheet goods, polymers & plastics, paint, and oil industries.
King has a BSEE from Virginia Tech, graduating Cum Laude. He is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (2001) and Lean Manufacturing Certified (University of Michigan, 2002). He is certified as a supply chain professional (CSCP) by APICS - the Association for Operations Management.
